The Lilian Baft Yazd industrial and trading group was founded in 2004 by its partners, with the aim of increasing customer satisfaction and creating good employment.
The chairman of the board, Haj Majid Ba Arze, has more than half a century of continuous and distinguished work in the textile market, and particularly in bedding. He began in 1955, as a boy, alongside his father the late Gholamhossein Katanchi, selling fabric and linen at a draper’s shop on Khajeh Nasireddin Street in Maragheh (East Azerbaijan province). As the business grew he founded the 1001 Majid production and distribution company in Shiraz in 1970. Alongside selling and supplying textiles, blankets, mattresses and bedding, he has always given particular attention to manufacturing and to creating jobs in the sector: from the very beginning, with very little to hand, he set up a sewing workshop with a few old machines and began producing sheets, mattresses, pillows, cushions and the like. Through good judgement and persistence, within a short time the workshop employed more than 40 people, and between 1980 and 1988 its output held a major share of the market. Today 1001 Majid (Ba Arze) is a familiar and trusted name among all producers and suppliers of household textiles and bedding.
